Comparison

Tivazo vs Clockify

Our intuitive interface allows you to monitor clock-in and clock-out times with a quick glance.

What is Clockify?

Clockify is a Time Tracking app that lets you track hours worked on different projects.
Clockify is targeted toward people who want to track time, based on projects. For each project you have
created in Clockify, it gives you updates on project progress and allows you to manage tasks, clients,
teams, budgets, and more. It is targeted towards teams, but can also be used by freelancers

Tivazo as a Clockify Alternative

For those who are looking for something new, I would say Tivazo is the best Clockify Alternative.
Tivazo is a time tracking and employee monitoring software that is useful for both on-site and remote
teams. While Tivazo is focused on time tracking, another main feature of Tivazo is employee monitoring.
In addition, it also provides features for team management, project management, team analysis and
reporting, and more.

It has an intuitive employee monitoring feature that allows managers and team leaders to supervise
employees while being non-intrusive. Tivazo can be used by anyone from freelancers, teams,
businesses, and agencies, to enterprises. It is suitable for people of any industry.

Tivazo vs Clockify: In-depth Feature Comparision

Time Tracking

Both Tivazo and Clockify have time tracking functionalities. Each of the two time-tracking software
accounts for different user pain points.

Cross-Platform Compatibility

Tivazo is available in Windows, Linux, and macOS.
While Clockify is available on desktop for Mac, Windows, and Linux. It’s available on mobile for both
Android and iOS. Plus, it has browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

Clock-In And Clock-Out Functions

Tivazo

  • You can start your tracking timer from the software. You just have to open the software and
click the “Start Tracking” button, and then, your work time will be tracked in the background.
  • You don’t have to worry about tracking time for each project or task as Tivazo tracks time for
your whole day.
  • You are automatically clocked-in for the day when you Start Tracking your work hours. Then,
you will be clocked out at the end of the day, when you click on the “Stop Tracking” button.
  • Sometimes you might forget to stop tracking your time. We have all been there. Don’t worry,
Tivazo automatically stops tracking your time when you shut down your device. Or, if you keep
your device on even after work hours, Tivazo can automatically stop tracking time after a while
of inactivity in your device.
  • Plus, you can manually enter your Start and End times if you were not able to do it before or
forgot it. But, remember that you need the approval of your team leader/ manager, who in this
case could be your employer.
  • If you are a freelancer, you don’t have to worry about getting approval for manual time entry.
You can just enter the time you worked on yourself.

Clockify

The clock-in and out function in Clockify is quite different from that of Tivazo.

  • Users can clock-in/ out from Kiosk App of Clockify. The Kiosk App of Clockify allows people to
manually find their names in the Kiosk App and Clock-in from there, same with the Clock-out

Note: A Kiosk Device is a device configured to run only specified applications, for public/ shared use. In
this case, the device is used to run the clock-in and clock-out feature of Clockify.

  • If you forgot to Clock-in or were not able to, Clockify allows you to manually enter the clock-in
and out times later.

Attendance Tracking

Tivazo

  • Tivazo automatically tracks and keeps records of users’ daily attendance.
  • Any day the user tracks their time for their work is considered a work day, and attendance for that day is recorded.
  • Employees can go back and view their attendance records and so can their employers.

Clockify

  • Clockify does not have a dedicated attendance tracker.
  • You can either use the clock in/ out data as the attendance tracker or you can use the time tracker for projects as the attendance tracker.

Time Off Tracking

Tivazo

  • Tivazo tracks your time off as well. If you have today off and have not started your timer for tracking, Tivazo does not record data for that day. Hence, the day is automatically considered your time off.
  • However, if you forgot to start the timer and didn’t actually take time off, you can manually enter your work times easily. Or, your admin (employer) can enter your start and end times for you.

Clockify

  • Clockify allows admins (employers) to create time off policies. You can also add holidays or paid time off on certain dates.
  • And, the employees can request time off for the policies created by employers.
The days off are recorded so both employers and employees can access the time off data at any time

Billable Hours Tracking

Tivazo

  • Tivazo records the working hours of employees.
  • You can calculate the billables and invoicing of the employees according to the work hours they put in.
  • If you are a freelancer, you can show your clients your work duration and scheduling for fair billing and payment.

Clockify

  • The billing and invoicing feature in Clockify is only available on Standard, Pro, and Enterprise Plans.
  • Employers can set the hourly rates and the employees can track the hours worked. The billables are processed according to the time worked, accounting for paid and unpaid time off, and holidays.
  • Also, invoices can be created. So, that users can mark the status of various payments such as paid, partially paid, void, or overdue.

Employee Productivity Monitoring

Tivazo

  • Tivazo allows for employee monitoring by taking screenshots of the employees’ work.
  • Admins/ Employers can define how frequently they want the employees’ screenshots to be taken.
  • Tivazo also factors in the fact that some users work on multiple screens. If you or your employees work on multiple screens, screenshots of both screens are taken in succession.
  • Employees can also look back at the screenshots taken of their work. This can help them know how they are progressing along their work.
  • Plus, the screenshot feature is non-interrupting. Meaning: users are not notified of screenshots being taken each time. So, you can focus on your work without being disturbed by the pinging of notifications.

Clockify

  • The Screenshot monitoring feature in Clockify is only available on Windows and Mac.
  • This feature is off by default. So, the admins have to enable “Activate Screenshot Capturing” for each workspace.
  • Both employees and employers can look back at the screenshot taken. Employees can also decide to delete the screenshots taken of their work. However, if they delete it, the time frame in which the screenshot was taken is subtracted from the total working time.
  • There is no undo for the deleted screenshot, so you can’t retrieve your deleted work time either.

Idle Detection and Auto Pause

Tivazo

  • Tivazo has an idle detection and auto-pause feature. If a user is inactive for a while, the app automatically pauses the time tracking.
  • It also shows an alert mentioning the time tracking has been paused, so the users can easily return to time tracking again.
  • By default, the time tracking in Tivazo is paused when the users have been inactive for 5 minutes. The admins can change the settings for how long your employees can be idle before the time tracking is paused.
  • Plus, the admins will receive alerts if their employees are inactive for a long time. This time period can also be decided by the admin.

Clockify

  • The idle detection in Clockify’s Desktop app is triggered after 15 minutes.
  • The idle time is recorded but it is subtracted from the total work time of the users.

Custom User Teams and Permissions

Tivazo

  • Admins can invite people as members or viewers. Members can track time, but viewers can only view the work progress. In such cases, you can invite your clients to view the progress of their work.
  • Admins, Members, and Viewers all have different privileges.
  • In Tivazo, there are options for admins to assign different members to different teams. For example: someone can be assigned to the design team, someone to the developer team, and so on.

Clockify

  • In Clockify, you first have to create a workspace for the project in which you and your team will work. You can create more than one team.
  • Then, you will invite the people to the team through email. Anyone can be invited to any teams. So, one person can work in multiple teams.
  • Most teams are made to work on projects based on their skills and expertise.

Offline Functions And Syncing

Offline Functions And Syncing

Tivazo

  • The time tracking feature works without an internet connection as well.
  • If anyone’s internet connection is lost during work, Tivazo will automatically keep the tracking data in the user’s device. And after the connection is restored, the data will be uploaded automatically as well.
  • So, no tracking data is lost if there is no internet connection while using Tivazo.
  • Tivazo also works perfectly with low/ unstable internet connection.

Clockify

  • Your tracking data is saved in local storage when the internet connection is unavailable.
  • And, after the connection is restored, the app uploads the data. Then, syncs with other devices where you have Clockify open.

Offline Mode Limitations

Tivazo

  • When Tivazo is offline, the managers/ admins cannot view the work productivity of their employees in real time remotely.
  • You have to wait until the internet connection has been restored in both you and your employees’ devices.

Clockify

  • The offline feature in Clockify is available in the Windows app only.
  • Clockify relies heavily on a stable internet connection, so if you have a slow internet speed, you will have problems with a Glitchy Clockify.

Tivazo

  • One is an Admin Account which is used by managers/ employers, the other one is a Member Account which is used by team members.
  • And the last one is a viewer account, these are people who are invited to the workspace without much access. Viewer accounts are usually for clients who want updates and to see progress on their projects. Admins can manage other people and have access to features to invite members and view the productivity data of their employees.
  • While the Members only have access to their own accounts and cannot view others’.

Clockify

  • Admins: As an admin, you can manage workspace settings, user permissions, and overall workspace administration.
Managers: Managers can view and edit project details, and project timesheets, view team’s timesheets, edit them, and more.

  • To add to that, the software is simple and shows everything you can do in the home page.

Clockify

  • The UI of Clockify is clean, but it is comparatively more difficult to navigate through.
Users have mentioned the UI being quite clunky, and project organization getting messy. (Source G2)
